Smt. Y. Bhuvaneswari Devi spent her working life teaching in Andhra Pradesh government schools, and retired in 2019 as a Grade-I Hindi Pandit. To her family she was Mummy; to a generation of students, Bhuvaneswari Teacher. She died on 5 September 2026 — Teachers’ Day.
This site holds memories of her life, her years in the classroom, and the educational tradition continued in her memory.
Always having a goal
ఒక్క రోజు కూడా లక్ష్యం లేకుండా ఉండేవారు కాదు. ఒకటి సాధిస్తే మరొకటి వెతుక్కునేవారు.
She kept a purpose in front of her. Not occasionally, and not only in the parts of life that get called ambition — continuously. When one thing was finished she would look for the next one, rather than sit for a day without something to be doing.

A teacher, and a tradition
Teaching was in the house before she was born. Her father, Sri Y. V. N. M. Patro, taught in Rajam, and every Teachers’ Day of her own years in the classroom she honoured the students who had done best in each class, in his memory.
Her family continues that recognition in hers, at four schools each year.
