The educational tradition she kept, continued by her family.

During her teaching years, Smt. Y. Bhuvaneswari Devi honoured the top students of each class on Teachers’ Day, in memory of her father, Sri Y. V. N. M. Patro, who was also a teacher.

Her family continues that educational tradition in her memory. That is Vidya Sahayam.

Student awards at four schools

The topper of each class from Class 6 to Class 10 at each of the four schools — twenty students in all. Each receives a shield carrying her photograph, a cash award, and a letter.

The first year. On World Teachers’ Day her family will visit all four schools and give the awards in person.
