The topper of each class, at four schools, every year — the tradition she kept.
During her teaching years, Smt. Y. Bhuvaneswari Devi honoured students who excelled, on Teachers’ Day, in memory of her father, Sri Y. V. N. M. Patro, who was also a teacher. Her family now continues that educational tradition in her memory.
Four schools, Classes VI to X, twenty students a year. Each receives a shield with her photograph, a reward, and a letter naming the values she taught by.
