Everyone in the family should be well

She carried a constant concern that everyone in the family should be well and should get on in life. Not just her own household — everyone.

She would keep turning over what could be done for them, and do whatever was actually within her reach. When there was nothing she could do directly, she would still do something: take up a devotional reading, or say prayers, for that person or for their children.

It was not passive worry. What is remembered is the combination — ఆలోచన, తపన and then doing whatever could be done. When practical help was not possible, the devotional effort was her other way of acting.
